Question for military members: How safe is Kuwait?

your father is right, Kuwait is very safe as far as the bases go. The most dangerous thing he will encounter is being on the roads there due to the way people drive, not because of any terrorist activity. I spent 2 years working at Camp VA and had to drive between Kuwait City and my camp every day (over an hour each way) and never had any problems, even while shopping or eating in town. Your dad will be able to take MWR trips into Kuwait City for shopping and just to get off the camp, please encourage him to do so. It's a nice break in the monotony and it's interesting to get out into the local culture.
