Why is ity wrong in Catholicism?

Hey, I like you. You're completely right about everything you said. Apparently in Christianity, God is all about love, and loving your neighbor, and all of that, but I just haven't seen that from most Christians I've met. They are very hypocritical in that sense, for they condemn same- love even though it is absolutely no different than heteroual love. To back up their beliefs, they use a lot of Biblical quotes, especially the one in Leviticus and Corinthians. They also bring up Adam and Eve and how that shows that God obviously made a woman for a man, not a woman for a woman or a man for a man. Personally, I believe that even if God/the Bible did believe that about uality, it was because of the naive time period in which the Bible was written. The Bible also promoted stoning people, beating children, and keeping women at a lower place in society than men. We obviously don't follow those things today, so we should evolve and modernize the Bible's beliefs on ity too, for the times have changed. We can't expect society and people's intelligence to be the same as it was over 2000 years ago, so we really shouldn't stick to beliefs that a select handful of people had that long ago.
