My friends, what the heck is a 'dark path'?

I'm not Christian, but the "The Dark Path" sounds to me like a metaphor for the "wrong" life/spiritual choice. My guess is this apparently "wrong" choice is everything other than Christianity. So I think there are lots of us on this so called "dark path". At least we're in good company. =D
