Best drugstore hair straightener?

So i REALLY want a GHD but they are like $200 and my mom would rather have me get an iPod touch than a straightener, she said the limit i could spend on a straightener is $50. I've heard Chi's are good but they are about 100 dollars... does anyone know of any good straighteners in drugstores that act almost the same as a GHD? I'm looking for a straightener that keeps my hair silky looking and not poufy like my hair gets when i straighten it with my conairs.... thanks!
